Manaphorium
Bump, slash, stomp, and dash through a cursed castle to save its spirits. No attack button needed, just dash and jump. 10-20 minute experience. Made solo in one month for Metroidvania Month 30. The game is mostly complete, ran out of time to make much use of the final upgrade. I used Godot, Aseprite, and FLStudio.
***The hidden sword really alters game balance, consider waiting to pick it up lol***
A few people have complimented the auto-attack mechanic, it's inspired by Angeline Era, go check it out!
Play in browser or on Windows. There's an in-game map. Gamepad supported but plays equally well on keyboard.
CONTROLS:
Move -- D-pad, Arrows Keys, WASD
Jump -- South Face Button, Z, K
Dash -- West Face Button, X, J
Pause -- "Start", Esc, P
Map -- "Select", Tab, M

Yeah, beat the game too but I still want that hidden sword!
You obviously HAVE to get there from the spikes corrdior but for the hyper dash you cant cancel it midflight so no clue how to get there.
would have to dash for a bit, spot some fake spike and jump through them up to the room above.but that aint possible cause you cant cancel dash :-(
Or is the sword jsut a troll? :-(
Thanks for playing and glad you found the sword :) Yeah I had planned to add a way to cancel the hyper dash but it didn't make it in for the game jam
Wow. I'm blown away. This is extremely smooth, VERY fun, intuitive, and creative. Absolutely would pay for a full game. Never figured out how to get to the hidden sword, but the game's balance and map grew really comfortably as powerups were found.
